MSR Files Prevailing Wage Lawsuit in Illinois

Menken Simpson & Rozger continues to fight on behalf of trades people who are not paid prevailing wages and supplemental benefits by their employer.

On Friday August 11, MSR, along with local Chicago counsel, filed a class action complaint against one of the largest building systems (HVAC, fire and security) companies in the world, Johnson Controls, Inc., in the Northern District of Illinois federal court seeking to obtain millions of dollars of unpaid prevailing wages and supplemental benefits.

The case was filed on behalf of an estimated class of 100 workers who installed, serviced, commissioned and programmed HVAC systems on public buildings throughout the State of Illinois since August 11, 2018.

Few law firms litigate prevailing wage cases. MSR has successfully litigated and settled many class action prevailing wage cases throughout the country—including obtaining settlements of $2.6m and $2.4m in prevailing wage cases in just the last year—allowing workers to recover their unpaid wages and benefits.

The case is being litigated by Bruce Menken, along with local counsel David L. Lee. Please call Bruce Menken at bmenken@nyemployeelaw.com or 212-509-1616 if you have any questions about this recently filed case.
